AD naturam turpentine essential oil has pain relieving and antiseptic properties. It decongests the respiratory tract and will therefore be very useful in the event of a cold or strong cough. Due to its stimulating virtues, it reduces fatigue.Maritime pine is a fast growing conifer that can reach 20 to 30 m in height. Its trunk is flexible. However, when planted tightly, they stretch more and their trunk is perfectly straight. Its bark changes from pale gray to reddish as the tree grows. The needles are dark green, grouped in pairs and are about fifteen centimeters long. By making an incision in the trunk, a resinous substance called turpentine is obtained. The resin or gem is extracted by gemmaking and then distilled after having been purified. One obtains on the one hand the essential oil of Turpentine and on the other hand a solid residue called rosin. Rosin is used to rub the hair of the bow of a stringed instrument to allow the string to vibrate. The essential oil of Turpentine and the essential oil of Maritime Pine come from the same tree. The distilled part of the tree is not the same. Turpentine comes from the resin of the tree while the essential oil of Maritime Pine from needles and twigs.
