Joy incense sticks act on the Root Chakra (Mulhadara). Red sandalwood, patchouli and queen of the night (Jasmine) form a skilful blend that helps tone. Its woody and spicy scents represent the Earth element. This incense makes you rather optimistic and joyful. Its sticks which last about twenty minutes with a fresh and invigorating scent allow ‘to recharge the batteries’. Ideal in the living room, office or entrance. Red and white sandalwood is used in Hindu rituals in the form of a paste. It is applied to statues of the gods and religious articles. It is also affixed by the priests on the forehead of the faithful as a sign of purification. The plants that make up these Ayurvedic incenses have in fumigation an activity on the different vital centers (the chakras), as well as on the psyche. This mixture of plants is invigorating and it is associated with the Earth element. It has a particular resonance on the root chakra, Mulhadara. This incense is made in India in the state of Karnataka using the so-called Dry masala bhattis method. A dry and sticky paste is made from sandalwood and rubber tree powder.
